On May 28, the groundbreaking ceremony for the second batch of projects in the second quarter of Nansha New District and the groundbreaking ceremony of the headquarters and production base of Greater Bay Technology were held at the site of the “Energy Storage Device and System Production Base of Greater Bay Technology" project. Lu Yixian, a member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Nansha District Committee, officially announced the commencement of the construction of the "Energy Storage Device and System Production Base of Greater Bay Technology."

The project, “Energy Storage Device and System Production Base of Greater Bay Technology,” serves as the headquarters and the first R&D and production base of Greater Bay Technology. After completion, the project will play a significant role as the administrative and R&D headquarters of Greater Bay Technology, supporting the development of the company. As a production base, the project will also focus on the R&D and production of XFC high-speed batteries, new energy storage cells, and integrated PACK systems. The project is anticipated to receive a total investment of RMB 4 billion, with a production capacity of 8 Gwh, capable of supporting 120,000 new energy vehicles. Its annual output value is expected to reach RMB 7.2 billion.

Greater Bay Technology is the first mixed-ownership innovative high-tech enterprise incubated within GAC Group, dedicated to resolving the most prominent issue of “slow charging and difficult charging” in the use of new energy vehicles. It is dedicated to making XFC technology and products “a standout strength of the country.”
