On December 23, 2018, GAC’s Industrial Park for Intelligent & Connected New Energy Vehicle, reputed as “World-class Automobile Silicon Valley" in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area, ushered in the completion of Phase I of the 200,000-capacity project of GAC New Energy Intelligent and Ecological Factory and the formal foundation laying of Panyu Auto Town, its talent and business supporting project. On the morning of the day, the foundation was officially laid for GAC-Aisin Automatic Transmission Project and GAC-CATL Power Battery Project. GAC celebrated the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening up in the form of the completion of key industrial park projects, the foundation laying of several projects and the exhibition of achievements. About 500 people, including Guangzhou city leaders, GAC Group Chairman Zeng Qinghong, President Feng Xingya and GAC Group employee representatives, representatives of invested enterprises and partners, dealers and media, witnessed these important moments on site.

　　GAC New Energy Intelligent and Ecological Factory is the first project of GAC’s Industrial Park for Intelligent & Connected New Energy Vehicle and plays a leading role in driving industrial agglomeration. The overall planned production capacity of the factory is 400,000 units/year, of which the first phase is planned with a capacity of 200,000 units/year and planned to be put into production in May 2019. After the completion of the factory, GAC New Energy will take the lead in introducing L4-class unmanned demonstration operation in the new factory, and plans to launch at least two pure electric new cars every year.
