Phase II of GAC Toyota’s new energy vehicle capacity expansion project officially begun operation on December 20, 2022, in Nansha District, Guangzhou. Its completion marks that GAC Toyota, now with million-level capacity, has reached a milestone and will speed up the implementation of the comprehensive electrification strategy to promote high-quality development. By October this year, GAC Toyota had produced 7 million vehicles cumulatively. At the new starting point of its 18th anniversary, GAC Toyota will further consolidate its base, supported by million-level capacity according to the new production line, and write a new chapter for its development.

Phase II of GAC Toyota’s new energy vehicle capacity expansion project covers an area of 740,000 square meters and has an annual capacity of 200,000 vehicles. The operation of this new production line enabled GAC Toyota to attain a cumulative production capacity of millions of vehicles and become a production base with the highest degree of concentration and the largest scale in the world. This establishes a solid foundation for it to develop a sustainable system based on million-level capacity.
