On January 5, GAC Group and Sun Yat-sen University signed strategic cooperation in Guangzhou. Both parties will co-build the joint R&D Center and joint laboratory, conduct cooperation on talent training, carry out basic and applied study on critical CASE technologies focusing on the core technology demand of a new generation vehicle, and assist the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and a powerful nation of automobile.

As a result of the bilateral strategic cooperation, GAC R&D Center and Sun Yat-Sen University signed an agreement to co-build the “joint laboratory of intelligent transportation and Artificial Intelligence of Sun Yat-Sen University -GAC R&D Center” on the same day. In the future, the joint laboratory will conduct research and cooperation on production, and research focusing on intelligent transportation and Artificial Intelligence.

Both parties will also cooperate on talent training, and co-build “GAC training class of youth cadres” to foster outstanding reserve talents for GAC Group. Both parties will also rely on the R&D Center to foster the high-level applied professional talents to promote social and economic development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
