The 4th Session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the 4th Session of the 13th National People’s Congress (NPC) were held in Beijing on March 4 and 5. On March 3, Zeng Qinghong, deputy to the 13th NPC and party secretary and chairman of GAC Group, went to Beijing to attend the sessions, where he proposed 5 suggestions based on hot issues in the automobile industry and people’s livelihood, including accelerating the development of intelligent and connected new energy vehicles, strengthening the construction of the industry chain of key automobile parts, improving laws and regulations related to recalling defective automobile products, promoting the development of the scrapped car recycling industry and setting up insurance and rescue fund systems for driverless vehicles, which cover the whole life cycle of vehicles, including production, use and scrapping.
